Marion and Ludovic: Shoot For The Stars
The crazy thing about love is just that: it makes you crazy. Crazy about love, crazy about the person you love and just generally crazy in love.
Training manager Marion and international football player Ludovic met through mutual friends one summer night. After a year of dating and travelling to wherever Ludovic was playing, he suddenly got signed in Turkey. While Marion was visiting him in Istanbul for her birthday, he proposed. Knowing how madly and deeply in love they were, and still are, she knew they were meant to be. So after leaving her amazing job, childhood home, close family and friends, she joined Ludovic in Turkey. But the adventures didn’t stop there.
A few months later, the couple were in Paris, enjoying a romantic dinner in the magical hotel Le Meurice. Surrounded by a 360-degree view of the city of love while indulging in extravagant cuisine, to Marion’s surprise, Ludovic popped the question again. Showering her with gifts, flowers and a gorgeous engagement ring, it was one of the best nights either of them had experienced.
“After that, we went to Las Vegas on holiday and decided to get pre-married,” Marion says. “The real wedding was in France and on our honeymoon, we got married again in Bora Bora with a traditional Polynesian wedding.”
The wedding theme in France was romantic and simple and included a combination of pretty pastels. “We wanted something light and pure. This is how we imagined our wedding day,” Marion says. “It was a really sunny and warm day. At the beginning, I wasn’t stressed at all, but the people around me were! I was a little late, as every bride is, and once I realised it was going to happen, everything came at once in a rush.”
For most brides, one wedding dress and one wedding is enough, but Marion opted for three. “I had a Dolce & Gabbana number for the civil ceremony, a Pronovias mermaid dress in Chantilly lace for the religious ceremony and then a Jenny Packham Swarovski dress for the evening,” Marion says.
For their honeymoon, the couple flew to the French Polynesia islands Papeete, Moorea, Bora Bora and finished it off in absolute style on a private island in Rangiroa Atoll. Who knows what adventure Marion and Ludovic will embark on next?
