Youngblood’s makeup range has everything you could want to look picture perfect with a naturally radiant look that lasts all day. A recent bride herself, Youngblood’s Head Makeup Artist, Stacey Tsardoulias has some top tips for looking your bridal best:
It’s what’s underneath that counts.
Prep and prime with Youngblood’s Mineral Primer for a silky smooth finish on the skin that protects and rejuvenates skin cells. The primer helps minimise the appearance of pores and fine lines to creates the perfect base for any foundation - helping it wear longer.
Always match to your tan
It’s a must to make sure that your foundation colour blends with your tan. Make sure that it is similar in colour, but not necessarily as dark as your body tan. Using Youngblood’s Mineral Radiance bronzer in Sunshine or Sundance will also help to match that golden glow.
What you set will stay
Once your foundation and Ultimate Concealer is applied, it’s important to set it well using a lightweight, translucent powder. Youngblood’s Mineral Rice Setting Powder and Hi-Def Mineral Perfecting Powder make for a brilliant finish for the skin and help take away unwanted shine and make foundation last all day long. These are also a must to take along with you for touch ups, to de-shine throughout the day.
Don’t be scared of a little more colour
If you want your makeup to look just as good in photos as it does on the day, don’t be scared to wear a little more colour on your cheeks and lips than you usually would. Makeup will look less intense in photos than face to face so pick a shade with just a little more intensity of colour. Perfect bridal cheek colours are the Pressed Mineral Blush in Blossom and Crushed Mineral Blush in Dusty Pink. This doesn’t mean going colour crazy, but just remembering that what looks “natural” face to face, will often fade out in photos.
Complimenting Colours
Regardless of theme and style for your day, there are certain tones and colours for eye shadow, cheek and lips that are complimentary to most skin types. Warm browns, soft golds and peachy naturals for the eyes will work with all eye colours. Some great Youngblood colours are Halo, Coco and Willow in the Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow and the Timeless and Eternity Eyeshadow Quads. If you think you want to be glam it up a little with a smokey eye, try colour such as Czar and Haze or softly blend in a little Storm in the Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow.
