Alice McCall with Showstopping Designs at MBFWA 2017
Alice McCall, known for her playful and feminine playsuits and favoured by the one and only Beyonce, opened the first full day of Australian Fashion Week.
McCall’s pretty style was enhanced with the luxury-material jacket and lavish-looking brocade materials in her resort collection. Sheer fabrics, buttoned biker shorts and ribbed body con dresses with skater girl skirts, meant that this collection was all about the body, and a throwback to the 90s.
True to her signature bohemian and effortlessly chic style, the designer’s showcase included all kinds of impressive fabric techniques including hand embroidery, custom in-house laces and stunning understated embellishments.
Pretty pastel hues, ruched sleeves and whimsical ruffles were a favourite in the new collection – a staple in the Alice McCall’s look books since she first launched.
